Victorian Cottage

Buckinghamshire

This stunning Victorian home was completely transformed by Anne Haimes and her team. The colours in this bright and inviting entrance hall echo the jewel colours from the vibrant stained glass window pain of the front door. Turquoise, burnt orange and ochre furnishings compliment furniture sourced in France, completed with a stunning hand knotted rug and accessories dotted around the room.

The light and airy sitting room reflects the Victorian style of the Cottage. The hand made bespoke sofas upholstered in a softy herringbone, detailed with a cappuccino suede piping, complement the gold and cream of the classic stripe wallpaper and elegant drape of the window treatments. Modern touches such as the crystal lamps and Tom Faulkner console table introduce a contemporary twist to the space.

The cream and truffle colour palette of the open plan kitchen and dining room works perfectly against the reclaimed oak of the large refectory dining table. Accents of red from the large scale print of the curtains and blinds. The deeply buttoned breakfast chairs, upholstered in a vintage linen lift the space and add an extra dimension of colour and warmth.

The simplicity of this calm and peaceful guest bedroom is complemented by exquisite finishing touches, such as the embroidered linen curtains, painted silver plume tie backs, and vintage crystal chandelier. The curvaceous shape of the striking, bespoke midnight blue velvet head board is weaved through on the pattern of the handmade bedspread.

The woodland mural and bespoke gingham canopy above the princess style bed is what all little girls dream of having in their bedroom.
